Timber and Calafiori couldn’t continue. Just lack of match fitness, I assume? Has anything been communicated?

  2. 7 of 9 from away games to Villa, Spurs and City.

No other top 6 side will top those results. We are good. Very good.

Anyone notice Jorginho shouting at our players before City’s equaliser?

He noticed that we left space and was shouting for someone to close them down and then they equalised and he fell to his knees.

  4. Enjoying City trying to shift the goalposts as well and act like the real contraversies were Kyle Walker not paying attention to what was going around him (standard for him) and Martinelli literally standing his ground on a corner doing nothing.

Still remember Ramsdale getting pinned on a corner by Boubacar Kamara. Luiz scored direct from it. That was fine of course

That draw felt like a win and a loss at the same time. Hate the result, but the team was incredible yesterday and I can’t wait to see how our attacking and defensive qualities shine through once Ode and Merino are fit and playing.

  6. Cheating aside, it’s absolutely gut wrenching to lose the lead like that. Lucky deflection fell perfectly for stones in the 98th minute.

We worked so hard in the 50 minutes before that. I’m so so gutted, we were 10 seconds away from the biggest win of Mikel Arteta’s entire career. Winning with 10 men at the ethiad after they hadn’t lost there for two years would have been a win that was talked about for years.

This definitely feels like a loss, but 7/9 from the away games of death is a good outcome. Doubly so considering that odegaard is out. Let’s go win the next 3 prem games as they are easy, and see where we are in the table after those games.

  7. Just want to say I wish Michael Oliver and the City players all a season ending injury. I hope Rodri’s injury is season ending tbh. I don’t care

  8. After a long time, it’s great to have this all encompassing hate for a certain team. Not the Spurs kind, but the United kind. Not traditional rivals, but rivals by Title. And knowing that they are cheats makes it even better. In any job, the level of conflict of interest Oliver is not accepted. But the PGMOL? Why do what you want, just screw a team that is not City over please. They did it with impunity against Liverpool when they challenged, they are doing it now with Arsenal. (Not that we were ever the favourites)

  9. At half time after going down to ten men most of us would have taken a draw. It’s just hard to take when it happened in the last seconds.

Honestly I’m glad our guys kept their relative composure in the pressers and on the pitch while city are whining. If this was blood boiling stuff watching as fans then I can’t imagine what it would be like for Arteta or the players. We will win in the long run by showing our composure and our class.

The stuff from Silva, Pep, and stones really tells you what you need to know – City are acting like Bullies who get a reality check and realize they can no longer take advantage of their preferred victim.

  11. Superb effort by the lads yesterday: City on the ropes end of first half and stellar defence second half! Let’s move on now and get excited by the fixtures ahead. No need to dig too deep into a negative shithole we can’t control. We move!

I was downvoted for this on r/soccer, but I stand by it:

Arteta, out of pure pettiness, should hire someone to watch EVERY premier league game & comprehensively document every single PGMOL inconsistency.

Then post the dossier on twitter.

  13. This ‘yellow cards for delaying the restart only applying to Arsenal’ situation has really got be quite angry. Twice in 3 games now. I was fuming when Doku didn’t get one and then when Trossard did my head exploded!! Like at least mask it by saying it was a 2nd yellow for the foul, but to come out just before the 2nd half and explicitly say it was for delaying the restart is just spitting in our faces.

  14. I still cannot believe we were wasteful of City away without KdB AND Rodri and didn’t come away with 3 points. That was divine intervention while absent of Odegaard and Merino.

  15. Have to say despite the heartbreaking end I love how much the club seems to hate these guys. Our players hate them, the staff hate them, the execs are fighting them off the pitch wherever they can. Fucking love it

  16. Would have bit your hands off for 11/15 points from this run, but it feels like a gut punch cus we’ve been cheated out of the other 4.

Regardless, the sheer quality of the team this year makes me quite confident. We’re doing all this without odegaard, remember.

The next three prem games are Leicester home, Southampton home and Bournemouth away. We are two points off the top, having played three of the four hardest fixtures we’ll play all season. We are in a good position.

Let’s bag all 9 points and see what the table looks like. If we keep playing like this, I’m confident we can beat Liverpool at the carpet, even without odegaard.

  17. Disappointed about yesterday of course, especially considering how well we defended the 2nd half but, after reading through the post match interviews and stuff, do City even mention the red card when talking about our tactics or ‘dark arts’?

Their sub are obviously ignoring it and bus memeing instead but that’s to be expected of the 12 of them

  18. “1 point at etihad is a good result” fuck that shit. We should have had 3, beating these cheating cunts at their own garbage stadium. 4 points lost because of referees 5 games into the season, shocking. The only consolation from the game is that Rodri possibly injured for months, and that will cost city more points, than if he hadnt got injured and we won.

  19. I take the 2-2 draw against Manchester City even if Michael Oliver is a shit referee.

In another news, heard that Rodri got injured. Tbh, am I an asshole to celebrate this guy getting injured to an extent? On one hand, his injury does look serious and scary and if its ACL, yeah. On the other hand, I have to admit I have no sympathy with Rodri considering how this guy is one of the sources of Arsenal’s misery. And I will admit, even if Rodri is out for months, City is a team that is not to be underestimated even without Rodri. But at times, you could argue it weaken their spine to an extent. Regardless, the injury is horrible and this showcase that some players did have to many games. But on the other hand, part of me wants to laugh at Rodri’s misery sorry to say.
