That was reckless, brainless and absolutely unnecessary. Imagine if one of ours would be injured after such a “tackle”. Thankfully Kamara avoided that.

Martinez should be punished internally for this. Like 2 weeks of salary/out of the squad for next week. It shouldn’t stay unpunished.

  2. Where’s Dermot and why isn’t he fluffing up VAR, telling us why not sending him off was the correct call?

  3. To even call it a “tackle” is embarassing. Could have been an career ender for that player.

  4. It was one of those, if he had been done there would have been little to complain about. He needs to keep things above board for the next couple of games till the refs forget about it.

  5. He jumps in front of the ball, it’s more of a two footed block

It’s so fucking strange and random. I think it’s a yellow but it’s a yellow at the extreme point

  6. While I agree on the red card for Lisandro, the explanation about the lack of handball penalty is a joke. Their justification is natural position and ‘arms aren’t extended from the body’……

  7. I understand the argument for a red, but it looks like he’s adjusting his landing to avoid contact

Did he make contact with the opposing player? I haven’t seen the play back. Whatever he didn’t get a red which is good.

That pic looks horrendous tbf. It was stupid and don’t think we could complain at a red though at the time I thought given he jumped short of the ball and made no contact with the palace player yellow was ok, that’s probably my bias though and red would have been the more correct call

  10. Hes not really near the player though. Its dumb, but I think yellow was the right call. Its a block, not a tackle, so yeah, yellow.
