  1. I don’t care that he plays for City and makes them much better when he’s playing, anybody celebrating a player missing nearly a year of their career is a cunt for doing so.

That sucks. as much as I hate city, tearing your acl sucks. And I also love watching midfielders like Rodri. It has been cool to see him get his deserved plaudits when normally it’s the guys lighting up the score sheets that get all the attention and accolades.

The way he walked off reminds me of when Virg did it in the Everton game too, knew it right away. Whenever a big player goes down and starts limping you know it’s bad.

  4. Can’t believe arsenal could win it this year now. The one year we’ve had a change of management.

  5. Anyone wishing this for a player is not right. Wouldn’t wish a potentially career ending injury on any player.

With that said; surprised it’s not one of our players as we’ve hit every branch of the injury over the last few seasons. Often climbing back up to hit every branch again, just to make sure.

Clearly, losing Rhodri is a fucking massive blow to Citeh. Massive, at least until January when they go and drop £100m on a replacement.

  6. It’s always sad when a player gets injured and specially a serious one. He’s their most important player so it’s a massive blow for them but they got depth in their squad.

  7. This is almost identical to when we lost VVD in 20/21. By far their most important player and they don’t have an obvious backup in their squad for him

  8. That’s huge in terms of title race. Hate to see injuries to a player though.

Note that the player that caused the injury was same one that caused Diaz injury

Hate to see a bad injury to a player, even a rival one. Sure, it makes the season more interesting – but I feel bad for the guy.

  10. You could see the understanding/anguish on his face when the medical team was assessing him on the field. Players know when they’ve done themselves a bad injury and his face said exactly that.

Such shit news for him and city. And really
    For all football.

From a selfish point of view I’d say it’s a shame we’re not in a better position to capitalise fully

  12. Yeah that stinks. Top tier asshole but as i personally did tore my ACL twice, i never wish anyone the same injury bar a very selected few (like Pickford). Wishing him a speedy recovery

  13. Hope everyone is prepared for City players to mysteriously get injured before international breaks but still making it back before any PL games would be missed
