bar kante and hazard, chelsea have been shafted with player ratings for over a decade. but in general the ratings are pretty much completely divorced from reality, based more on hype and wishful thinking than anything else because they need to balance the game in a way that forces people to spend money on microtransactions.

I find it slightly embarrassing this time of year where the players are made to see their FIFA ratings in YouTube videos from the club. EA can’t be paying enough for the humiliation.

FIFA game ratings have always been about establishing a hierarchy of clubs and not focusing on true ratings. If you gave us correct ratings we would be finishing top 4 for example.
They want us to finish mid table because that’s what they think we are. In reality we are obviously better than mid table

I mean that’s fair based on his last season performance. Has been immense so far this year, so should see a sizeable upgrade in the next version.

They’re always slow to change overalls and generally they’re pretty good with them. He’ll be upgraded again if he keeps it up over a prolonged period, same goes for the other players
It’s also worth noting that overalls are done on more than just ability, part of it is experience and international reputation, neither of which he has. His card has 1 for international rep
