[Jamie Jackson] Pep says ‘no’ when asked if he thinks Arsenal targeted Rodri – specifically the Havertz incident at start of Sunday’s game; he and Mikel have also exchanged texts, their friendship not affected, Pep says…

  1. He’s right, but to be fair after that guy with the weird hair hit our guys and asked a 17 year old who he was, what was Pep supposed to say?

Ofcourse we didn’t target him his injury came from him running about on his own lmao how is this a narrative people are trying to create havertz didn’t even tackle him 😂

Target Rodri? That’s a desperate narrative someone is trying to invent. Almost every week some journo reminds me of what Arteta said about the English media on All or Nothing. Such a twisted industry.

  4. It was such a dumb question too. Clearly a Citeh journo still rattled. Pep seemed almost embarassed of him.

  5. Pep and Mikel are friends for years. This is nothing 😂 These journos have never played a “friendly” game against their best mates. Maybe, these sad shit stirring journos have no friends

  6. Why not ask Pep why so many of his players seemed like they were coached with the same talking points of Arsenal using “dark arts” in the interviews right after the match? It was too many of them to just be a coincidence. This would be the type of questions I expect journalists to ask, if they had any credibility

  7. This is Trump brain rot infecting football. What the actual fuck? It’s like there’s a separate reality.

What’s next, drag Mikel before the High Commission to force him to confess his crimes of wanting us to win?

  8. I want to think Havertz targeted Rodri with a shoulder check as a direct response to the “winning mentality” comments. I was so proud of Havertz. If Rodri was injured as a result of that play, I’d accept it’d be dirty. But what happened to him later on is simply a result of “too many games in a calendar year”. Pep knows!

Arsenal fans are crazy for believing conspiracy theories about referees hating Arsenal and favouring Man City.

But the 873 conspiracy theories about dark arts, time wasting, targeted fouling, negative football, etc which have been spun about Arsenal in just the last 48 hrs are all completely sane. Nothing wrong with those. Perfectly reasonable “analysis”.

What did George Graham say again?

  10. Rodri steps in front of Havertz, and for the injury goes down without being touched. You really have to go through some serious mental gymnastics to make this our fault.

Alright as an American, is there a reason the media seems to hate Arsenal in the UK that I’m ignorant of? Like American sports media is annoying, but yall are on another level. Some of the shit I read is straight up fantasy fiction and no where near reality. Like national enquirer but with sports

  12. You ever think just like Arteta gets home from dinner with his wife, and he has a text from Pep that’s like, “Michael Oliver is so dogshit.” Or vice versa. This is my headcanon at this point. A long list of texts complaining about referees

  13. The fact that the city propaganda machine is attempting to slide this question to the masses is laughable.

  14. Targeted?!?!?! Mans tried to set a tone and Havertz met him with resistance so he decided to take a tumble and make a meal of it. Targeting Rodri like he targeted Odegaard on international duty? No, mans went down on his own with no contact. These narratives they are trying to go with are absolutely disgusting and a joke quite frankly.

Havertz chased the ball and Rodri literally scooted right into his path to shoulder him then hit the deck. His entire point was to initiate contact, go down like he’d been shot, and get Havertz on a yellow immediately. He planned it, it’s not Havertz targeting anyone.
