**Substitutes: Bayındır, Heaton, De Ligt, Evans, Casemiro, Collyer, Mainoo, Mount, Antony, Garnacho, Højlund**.

Erik ten Hag has opted to make three changes for this evening’s UEFA Europa League clash against FC Twente.

Harry Maguire, Manuel Ugarte and Marcus Rashford all come into the starting 11, replacing the trio of Matthijs De Ligt, Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.

The Reds are also bolstered by forward options on the bench, with Antony, Garnacho and Rasmus Højlund all available if required at Old Trafford this evening.

“something’s obviously happened behind the scenes because garnacho has been dropped” – Sky Sports puppets Redknapp and Scholes, probably.

It’s wild how he went from “I don’t want to hear about Eriksen” to “you’re undroppable, my little maestro.” A bit surprised not to see Antony out there—playing against an Eredivisie team could’ve been a great confidence boost for him. But I guess Ten Hag’s sticking to his ‘form above all’ philosophy. Really excited to see Ugarte get a full 90 minutes; can’t wait to see how he performs across the entire game.

  4. A very strong line up curious the impact it has on the spurs game in terms of who’s being rested and who’s being warmed up tonight

  5. I’m glad Mainoo isn’t starting, but I’m surprised Casemiro isn’t.

I also think Eriksen starting another game probably means he won’t starts vs Spurs on the weekend.

  6. I want to see that performance from the first half against Palace, but with 3-4 goals. I think it’s possible with the lineup.

Feel like Bruno could have done with a break tonight. I feel like a lot of his mistakes lately are down to mental fatigue which impairs his concentration

  8. Hopefully Rashford and Bruno have a better game than they did vs. Palace. And hopefully they don’t play the whole game since we’ll likely need them vs. Spurs.

  9. Man Eriksen has gone from not playing much to playing a whole lot.

Strong lineup, ETH was serious about “hurting something you love” lol.

  10. Mainoo and Garnacho have been dropped?? ( Where did i leave my pitchfork ) /s

Surprised Ericksen is starting tbh and though we might see Antony get his first start of the season. But cant complaing too much about the selection.

  11. Would love too see Højlund and zirkzee play together

And also mainoo, ugarte and Eriksen instead of Fernandes

  12. Nice to see no mainoo. He must be expecting Ugarte to be taking over from Eriksen at the weekend.

In fairness, Eriksen didn’t look like he was blowing hard at the end of the Palace game. He’s looked more fit than last year.

  13. Hope Bruno scores a hat-trick and is subbed at half-time. If not, he shouldn’t play more than 60. The man needs to rest, he looks off it.

Hope Mount and Hojlund are fit enough to play 30.

  14. Solid lineup, good rotations. The top four this season is going to be determined by who has the healthiest players. We should also be aiming to win the Europa league. Would have liked to see Bayindir get minutes too.

hope Maguire has taken all the ‘oooh De Ligt is so good at setpieces’ talk personally and scores a hattrick of thunderous headers

Excited for Ugarte and Eriksen. Could be our best combo this season to ease the load on Kobbie

  17. Eriksen almost left in the summer to play 4 games in a row, If it is not improvising, what is that called?

  18. Eriksen starting 4 games in a row shows we are missing his replacement. Same goes for Licha, Dalot and Maz. We are missing another CB and obviously have no LBs. Mount is potentially his replacement but I think Erik sees Ugarte, Casemiro and Mainoo as CDMs and not controllers. Mainoo can do it but he’s not there yet with his passing.

  19. Ten Hag trying to get the best out of Eriksen before he inevitably gets injured – shrewd move i suppose

  20. Hope to see some combination of Evans, Mount, Antony, Rasmus, Collyer, and Casemiro feature in the second half after we’re comfortably ahead.

  21. I personally love the rotations. Not wholesale ones, but he’s giving people playing time. Based on the opposition, this should riasie any eyebrows.

~waits for them to shit the bed lol

  22. Mount saw the team sheet and got injured again. But seriously, hopefully he can stay fit for a longer period of time, the games will come thick and fast

Love this lineup. All the best ballplayers. Maguire is usually immense in these types of games where halfway line breakups and quick progressive balls are needed

Hope Eriksens minutes are being managed sensibly.. but he has most of last season off so maybe he’s ok?
    Please don’t get injured.
