Morgan Gibbs-White tackle on Joao Pedro in Nottingham Forest's 2-2 draw at Brighton has been examined by an independent panel and was a split decision of 3-2, with the majority believing official Robert Jones was wrong to dismiss the midfielder.

But there will be bugger all consequences, no doubt or does it mean he’s playing Saturday now ?

  2. Pretty surprised honestly. Yeah he gets the ball but he clearly follows through with his other leg to make that scissor action, which is pretty dangerous. I think a yellow was fair even as a Forest fan.

The frustrating thing was that the ref makes a decision and makes a clear signal as to how he saw it, which is then reversed by the 4th official. So now VAR can’t change the referees mind on a yellow card (e.g. Boly last season), but the 4th official can for.. some reason. Baffling set of rules.
