With the run of bad form Bruno is having, I'm chalking this up to fatigue. 241 games in 6 years while rarely getting subbed off is brutal this day and age, and it's showing in the games this season from how sloppy he's been lately. He needs to be benched and have Mason Mount step in for a good run of games. His best position is attacking midfielder and he is a pressing machine that would give great looks to the other players on top of recovering the ball.

While I’d love to finally see competition for Bruno we’ve not seen enough from Mount to anoint him as the next player to step up into his shoes.

Plus he’d have to shoot Bruno to stop him from getting onto the pitch.

I’d like to see Bruno dropped deeper if he’s not dropped from the team.

    It’s very rare a captain doesn’t play a game they’re fit for

  3. wonder if amad at CAM would work. he did play there for sunderland. or even drop zirkzee deeper now that hojlund is back. just some ideas

  4. Narrator : unfortunately Mount was injured in the very next game and went on to make only 13 appearances over the next two seasons for United before being released in a free

  5. more likely for Bruno to start playing better rather than Mount. Mount hasn’t shown anything other than he can press

  6. I personally believe he is due a start. For me Bruno isn’t doing enough in the final third to justify his lack of respect for possession.

It’s an irrelevant discussion though because Ten Hag won’t drop Bruno.
