  1. 6 years ago wtf. After his insane start to the season that year I was like holy shit Hazard has somehow upgraded, he was on genuinely insane form to start that year

man this guy was so fucking good. my favorite chelsea player ever

he really spoiled us as fans for so long. every time he had the ball you felt he could beat anyone across from. it was automatic

compare to years after, and no one’s ever given me that confidence in 1 v 1 situations. Palmer might be the most efficient since him but he’s nowhere close. Noni is a bit more similar in style and he’s nowhere close to Hazard’s sheer consistency of brilliance. and I think great things of both of those players but Hazard was just on another level – the absolute tip top player on the ball outside of messi/neymar

always felt we never quite put the team around him that would’ve had him at his absolute best, and his numbers underrate him so heavily. he was the focal point for us as a relatively defensive team and often he was our plan A, B, C. I think with some of the attacking talent and the system we’ve got now he would be putting up crazy G/A totals

anyway I know we all love him but the club’s changed so much since his time here and it feels like forever since we had the privilege of watching him every week. brilliant brilliant player

  3. Him and Kante were our bright spots on an otherwise underwhelming PL season that year. Winning the EL was great though

This goal and the breakaway goal to make it 3-1 away at City are my two favorite Hazard goals ever

Probably the single most talented player (in terms of raw skills) that I’ve ever seen in a Chelsea shirt. If we ever see someone like him again they’ll be a very very likely ballon contender just like Eden could have been.
