Yeah, I wasn’t hard on him he was in a bad spot, and it could have happened to anyone. He’s still young and he’ll learn.

Class response. Hope to see him grow and become an important player for us

Really cool that some fans went out and sent him some support. You can tell he really wants to prove himself, and making that mistake on his European debut for the club probably got him a bit down.

Classy way to address it. I’m not convinced about him as a player for us but no doubting how determined he is to improve and make himself part of the team which you can only admire

We’ve certainly had far more embarrassing nights so it is what it is. At least we won.

So we have one player who whiffs a few key shots and has to delete his social media and another player who gets sent off 8 minutes in and is given no problem publicly addressing it on social media. This fan base is something else sometimes.

Good man
I mean if he can choose one game to learn from his mistake, this one was it. Not much damage is done too

He seems an intense type of guy, so to have a blunder like that would be something he takes in stride as motivation and a reminder to maintain concentration at all times and decision-making. He’s young and regardless of age, players make mistakes, it’s natural. Take it in stride and lets see how he bounces back.
Happy though to see a different response from the fans as opposed to Brennan, but since we won that was likely. Still wish the backlash never happened to Brennan in that way regardless.

That is the right mentality.

Since we won the biggest frustration coming from this red card was Bergvall not getting gametime, but all good

Damned right, there are reasons Ange chose him, and this is one of them.

I actually view this as a positive.
A big mistake like that can really wake a player up, but likely won’t harm his confidence too much because the consequences of it were so minimal in the grand scheme of things.
Radu will improve as a result, I’d nearly guarantee it

Ik hes young but 7th minute is just super rough in any game. Seems like hes willing to learn from it which is all you can ask at this point.

Now, given sports is a massive psychological game, which fan response you reckon keeps em confident and doing a good job?
Maybe some egomaniacs might get a kick out of it. But I am sure they also get a kick out of all the praise too. No need for it.
The manager and expert in coaching science probably knows better how their players respond to positive/negative reinforcement.

IMO that was a harsh red and an even harsher penalty. Especially when you see the opponents player throw himself into contact.

Nice response and big mistake but hopefully Ange addresses the mistakes that his teammates made in absolutely hanging him out to dry there.
Mans had zero passing options and a striker bearing down on him.

What bothered me wasn’t his attitude, or that he got sent off, but the decision making. Committing to that challenge, knowing what it entails, rather than forcing the striker to make a goal was very poor judgement, and sure he’s young but I hope we see his football IQ be worked on. 1-0 down in 7 mins better than 1 man down.

Every youngster has those learnable moments. I’d argue defenders are rougher than most positions. Bone headed mistake sure but if he learns from it then you know what no harm no foul… other than the one that got him sent off

I hope he isn’t too hard on himself, he looked extremely disappointed yesterday which is fair. But in our style such mistakes will happen every once in a while, hope he still backs himself and remains full of confidence.

As much as I was angry at Dragusin for the foul. I definitely want to see him succeed at this club. Keep working hard our Romanian dragon🐉🇷🇴

Best mistake is when you don’t have to pay for it. Now he learned and won’t happen.

At least it opened up the game and encouraged them to move out of their own half.

Nightmare for him, hope he learns from it. This will only feed his and Bergvall’s hunger when they get back on the pitch, onwards and upwards lads.
