Our rough first halves caught up to us quick with the Leverkussen game yesterday.

-Tuchel-
A lot happened under Tuchel like putting players in positions they weren't usually slotted in. That led to our off 22/23 season. We did okay last season but Bayern wasn't playing like Bayern.
He made a lot of decisions on and off the pitch that made us as fans question his decisions. Look at previous posts blaming Tuchel and blaming players: no one was sure who was to blame for subpar games.

-Kompany-
Kompany for sure is putting us back on track. Players are where they need to be. We are in a period of "re-alignment". But players are getting ahead of themselves. Gnabry for one played really lazy almost lethargically. Olise couldn't shoot straight. Musiala had no back up, I think I counted 5 times he got encircled by the opposing team with no way out. And Kane? Where was Kane? It was almost like he was an afterthought in plays.

-realign-
This is not to say we aren't having a good season so far. Players are being positioned effectively again, Kompany is training them really well (I can tell who's never played competitive sports from complaints that he was being "too hard" on players), Kompany's substitutions are actually timed right instead of Tuchel's last minute substitutions that were pointless, and I'm sure Kane was pointing out a good thing rather than an omen.

This is the season where players are used to their potentials again. This is the season where Bayern plays like Bayern again. We've had some amazing games but it's a transition from playing like we did in the Tuchel-era to the formidable Bayern in the pre-Tuchel-era. It speaks volumes that we can recover this quickly, not just as a team adjusting through seasons and leadership, but as a team on the pitch as well.
