[Laurie Whitwell] #MUFC aim to reset for Porto + Villa games, staying together as a club. But more of the same will see focus on Erik ten Hag’s position become severe.

  1. Two 3-0 wins will mean absolutely nothing long term.

    HE DOES NOT HAVE IT.

    The evidence is there.

    Move on.

  2. This just confirms Ineos are clueless . What if we win our next two games and continue the winless streak again? How can you ignore the relegation form? This is the type of Glazer nonsense that would have kept Ole in a job if he beat Watford

Ten hag MUST drop Bruno for the Porto game! He’s going to need to get his team working without him for upcoming suspensions.

INEOS are not looking great in this situation, if keeping his job is based on a game to game basis it’s already gone too far and he should just be sacked now

Reset? What does that even mean? Reset what exactly? Club PR nonsense. Get Nagelsmann on the phone, offer him millions and get rid of this clown for the love of god.

INEOS are not clueless about Ten Hag, they won’t spent time interviewing other managers, if they actually rated him high.

He’s a dead man walking, and it’s a question of when. Basically for them it’s at the point of: would promoting Ruud make the situation better or not. We should be all over Nagelsman tho, I think it’s possible to convince him. If he doesn’t want to join, then we’ll probably have to wait till next summer with a new permanent appointment.

Southgate doomers can fuck off btw, he was never a serious option and he is not going to be hired.

  7. Good that they are sticking by the manager and not giving in to the fans’ whims- a lot of whom probably signed the petition a few months ago to have him at the club.

All big clubs are cut throat when it comes to player and manager selections. Inter had 5 managers in 3 years before they got Inzaghi. Barca have had 6 managers in 6 years , including sacking championship winner and legend Xavi. Madrid have sacked their fare share including sacking Ancelotti previously. This notion of building a dynasty is not something you can plan for. You hope it happens like it did with Klopp and Pep but just like their predecessors , those clubs were quick to act including sacking double champion pellegrini and Rodgers who came the closest to winning a title at Liverpool for 30 years.

Let’s not be naive now. He has been here, he’s been backed and it hasn’t worked out. United don’t owe ETH anything. Next one .

  9. Every article is the same month-after-month. We then win a game or two and all is forgiven. Then we lose 2 in a row and again same shit happens. Who even gives a shit if there are no consequences for underperformance. Weird how INEOS are quick to sack people working in other areas of the club but the manager has survived 1.5 years of the worst football United has seen since the 1980s.

Even though I want him gone yesterday, I accept the best time to get rid is the October int’l break, atleast the new guy would have 2 weeks to settle in slightly

  11. Winning those two games won’t mean anything in the face of the long-term trends of Ten Hag’s tenure. Ineos looking more clueless by the day.

  12. The beginning stage for Ineos, you can just talk good things. Now real tests are coming up. Lets see how they handle tough situations

  13. This reads as having identified the international break as the best time to sack him but not wanting to say it in the hopes that he can salvage one or maybe both of the last upcoming games first

  14. I think he’s gone after Villa. Results don’t matter anymore. Performances are the thing to evaluate, and I don’t see ten Hag changing the system, which probably means he’ll be gone in a week.

    He will be sacked.

I guarantee that. But why wait longer if he will be sacked anyway? There’s more harm to Utd and him if he stays here longer.
