  1. Dropping points at home to Ipswich and Forest within the first 5 games of the season have 100% got this guy sacked already, defeats like this just finish off the job. The league is too tough at the moment to get results like that, especially with such a weak squad compared to the rest of the teams.

  2. There’s A Southampton Fan that always comments on both this Page and official Saints page! He’s called Colin Geddes and he’s a Nonse, he was messaging my underage daughter, just letting everybody know.

  3. Sounds like an interview with a manager knows he's going to get the boot. Seems like nobody learns coming up from the previous managers that try and fail to do this

  4. I can't understand the vitriol towards him trying to play out from the back? Do any of you really think 442, park the bus, hoof it forward and counter attack works in the premier league in 2024? Brighton knew the risks of trying to play more open football, and now they're always favoured to finish in the top 10. If you fail, you fail and try again but doing what everyone wants him to do/playing the football "a bottom half team should play" will guarantee relegation but also close the door on any chance of improving as a club

  5. He has accepted responsibility in a very back handed way, saying that he thought he’d done enough. It’s deflecting it back on to the players. This manager is clearly out of his depth. I am not a Southampton fan but if saints want a shot at staying up I think he needs to go in my opinion. You just can’t play the style of football he is trying to play with a team like Southampton. You need to show you can adapt in the premiere league or you will just get relegated. I think with the right manager the players that Southampton has, are not in the position they are. They could be a mid table club, but unfortunately for them they have a manager that is too stubborn in his philosophy. I’m not saying his philosophy is wrong, it’s just doesn’t fit a club like Southampton in the prem.
