  1. >The midfielder was sent off for serious foul play during the Premier League match against
Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, 29 September.

    >Fernandes was set to miss our league fixtures against Aston Villa, Brentford and West Ham but will now be available for selection following the successful appeal.

  2. A moral victory.

That said, I think he needs to be dropped based on performance. He and Zirkzee occupy the same space and cannot play together effectively.

  3. Ridiculous red card, but Bruno getting a bit of enforced rest wouldn’t have been the worst thing in the world.

  4. So what’s the FA gonna do with the Ref? Give him a pat on the back and say “no issues!! why don’t you ref another huge game this weekend?”

Wish they could take accountability like this more often. The problem wasn’t him giving the red card it was more not repealing the decision.

At least there is some good news. Extremely frustrating though that even with VAR they get clear decisions completely wrong. Can’t wait to see there be absolutely no consequences for the officials

  7. Surely this is what VAR is for, ref makes a mistake on the pitch (which can easily happen), Var review it and rescind the red card?

  8. Almost did us a favor that ref, we would’ve lost 3 nil anyway. We were getting our pp’s wacked long before the red card

  9. Not a good sign when we get our captain back straight away and the mood here (and myself) is all “really?… can we…. un-appeal it?”

So during the match they thought it should stay a red, but now realize they were being stupid? So should teams just keep on suffering cause refs are incompetent? (Not saying the result would’ve been different with or without Bruno, but it would’ve been nice to have 11 players on the pitch)

Ffs have we not suffered enough already, would’ve been nice for us and him to have a break

  12. I’ll be honest, i had no belief that they would overturn it. I just laughed it away, but for once they made the right decision

  13. Had the red card stood, Ten Hag could pull out the “we didn’t have Bruno today” excuse.

He can’t fool us, we’re familiar with his game.

Need the manager to be in a situation where he has to step up, make adjustments, and stop finding excuses.

  14. If only there was a system in place to check for wrongful dismissal during the game…

  15. Just when we thought we could finally play 3 games without Bruno giving all the balls away…

  16. Think it would have been good for him to miss a couple of games via suspension. He’s played so much for so many seasons- I worry he’s the kind of player who needs protection from themselves. He loves the game and won’t ask for time off but there’s only so much you can put the human body through before it breaks

  17. You know it’s a bad decision when even your non-United supporting mates (who all despise Bruno) say it’s ridiculous.

If VAR isn’t going to turn over something like that they may as well not use it for red cards.

  18. Terrible red card but was kind of hoping he’d have a suspension. He needs the rest.
