Upgrading on Badiashille has to be the primary target in the next transfer window or summer at worst. Ideally a CB/RB who can cover for Gusto sometimes.
Not sure what happened to him but at times it’s like he forgets how to defend or where to position himself.
In an ideal world we sign a world class CB and let Fofana do his thing on the B team until he’s ready to compete for the A team.
Veiga really came as a revelation, he is class in every game and to think he only cost 12m is absolutely insane. He turned 21 barely 2 months ago, looking forward to his development. Shoutout to Tosin too.
As much as a lot of us want more than just Europa, it’s good for kids like him, Mudryk and Casadei among others who desperately need playing time.
When did the flashing of phones become a thing after scoring goals and also why is night games always more louder than daytime games.
I’d rather see Viega at center back than watching Badiashille again
joao felix wasn’t as bad as people are making him to be. he definitely was trying to link a lot of attack and even dropping deep when there was no progression
he can dribble and do playmaking properly. the problem is that at times he tries to do something very extra instead of being efficient. hope maresca fixes that
defense is still an issue because we loose focus when the opposition gets in their tempo. happens with the main team too and that needs to be fixed
badiashile is a weird one because he definitely was good when we bought him but it seems that he lacks the confidence because of injuries and other stuff
pros – adarabioyo is proper calm presence just like how van dijk is… very similar player. drewsbury hall is some talent and a proper attacking box to box player. pedro neto is starting to get in his momentum. veiga is definitely a proper player and can play all roles properly
issues – mudryk definitely is starting to understand what he needs to do but it’s a long way to go for him. nkunku needs to get involved more in play because he is our most clinical player when scoring. without enzo, caicedo and lavia it’s tough for us to progress the ball properly
regardless a very positive and good game from us with total energy. hope the win keeps coming in the weekend so that international breaks conversation aren’t toxic. maresca knows what he is doing !
Gallagher deal could prove costly. We missed out on Jhon and got Kellyman, missed out on Samu and got Felix, on top of that we got KDH to replace him.
It’s all due to one unresolved contract. In future hope to avoid these kind of situations
Maresca is on to something with how he used Mudryk against Gent. Playing him in behind with a short thru ball allows Mudryk to receive it while running on to it instead of getting it to feet constantly the way Poch had him set up. Viega’s passing was spot on all game.
Wonder how different it would have been for de Ligt if he came to us instead of Bayern few summers ago.
