Rasmus if you are reading this, turn off the comments and just do your thing. There will always be fans who can’t help themselves.

  2. Fucking leave the kid alone. He’s barely in his 20’s, scoring on his first start since he was out for 6 weeks. Not his fault the rest of the team shit the bed

I can’t believe our fans made him feel like he had to make an apology….. fucking vile, some of them. Welcome to United, Ras….

  4. I saw grown ass men losing their marbles because of his post on X. There are many other things to be pissed off about this team than stuff like these lmao

  5. Was people really that bothered? We have a manager on the brink of a sacking and our captain has been sent off in back 2 back games.

He was just glad to be back scoring.

  6. I love this guy. Plays with passion. Unlike some of the others. Luckily, bit by bit, ETH is moving those on.

  7. It’s sad to see some ‘fans’ giving Rasmus Højlund stick for his recent post. It’s quite clear that he was simply expressing his happiness at being back on the scoresheet after dealing with injury. This guy always gives 100% every time he pulls on that red jersey, and that’s something most of us appreciate. Honestly, if every player left as much on the pitch as Højlund does each week, we’d probably be in a much more favorable scenario right now. He’s a young talent who’s only going to get better!

Football fans are the biggest pissbabies. Yeah the draw was disappointing but players should definitely try to remain positive. Him being happy to score after injury troubles is good.

Good lad for addressing it. Shows he does care. Just wish people would calm down.

Sad that some people took such an issue with his post that he had to publicly apologise.

Good on him, he came back from a stretch out injured and scored, what player wouldn’t be happy about that?. Just shows how much he loves the club. God knows we could do with more players like him where the badge actually means something beyond just a fat weekly paycheque.

I think this the kinda bs that make our players feel so much pressure on match day. Let our boy express himself. He just a young striker who is happy to be back on the scoresheet.

It was a well taken goal too.

Why are people angry at him he’s mofo scored a goal done his job ffs people should be praising him

I genuinely do not think he done anything wrong.

He’s happy to score after being out with an injury. Most players would be plus he’s one of the few players who actually looks like he cares (maybe on account of being a United fan)

Maybe they’d all prefer it if Rasmus had a boring PR account and put “Tough game. We go again” every three days. At least he’s not a fucking personality less bore like half the players.

  13. It’s only fucking football. It’s just a bunch of people kicking around a bag of air. Rashford couldn’t even celebrate his birthday without critism.

  14. Hees just a kid, who is beyond the moon to score for his childhood dream club after being out for a while

  15. It’s not his fault our defense and midfield got fucking ran through. He should just turn off comments, fans criticizing a 20 year old who was one of our better players yesterday just for celebrating a goal after a long time out is ridiculous

  16. The fact that he feels he has to apologize for this is an absolute shame. Every striker should want to come back into form and score goals. I also love how you can clearly see his personality and character through his posts and it’s not just some media managed bs. Our club is so toxic sometimes.

Surely this has to be the point for a few where they realise their outrage has gone too far.

This is how you get cookie cutter media trained bollocks.

Any “fan” criticizing him should go fuck themselves.

  19. Honestly, some fans have completely lost touch with reality. This is what a player who genuinely cares about the fans looks like. Rasmus posted that to lighten the mood among us, but of course, given how reactionary and toxic some of the United fanbase can be, a few took it the wrong way. People seem to forget that Rasmus is a lifelong United fan too, so he’s well aware of how we’re all feeling about the team’s current performance. Was it really wrong for him to try and help us take a breather and lighten up a bit? Grown ass adults throwing shit a kid who’s just trying to help…

Always the players that get targeted, Rasmus and co can’t even breathe without these cretins on IG and twitter dissing them for everything they do

    Pathetic bottom barrel stuff

  21. Rasmus is someone who cannot be blamed for what’s going on this season. What has he done wrong? He was injured, returned and scored 20 minutes into his first game of the season
