Please lads let this be the one that convinces Gary to bench him.

Great to see Forbs start, gives us a bit of directness and is always trying to take his man on. Hopefully he can get lots of balls into Larsen cos we’ve been kinda missing that. Dare I say this looks like a winning lineup?👀

This looks a nice lineup. Great to see Forbs start–shows, to me at least, that the manager is ready and willing to reward the kind of play that he has said he wants to see of us: direct in attacking, high-tempto both on and off the ball, and pressure up top on defense. Nothing ground-breaking here, just a mental check that he is indeed practicing what he preaches.
I go back and forth on whether Toti > S.Bueno, ultimately, but Dawson back is huge. We’ve all discussed the “3/5 at the back vs. 4” debate ad nauseam, but I maintain that this midfield allows the right kind of “drop back between defenders” approach for a defensive mid to inject that “3rd CB” into the formation as-needed.
This lineup looks to take advantage of our strengths, and we know these lads can play. I won’t say any match is a “must-win,” but with as many Brentford have out, you’d have to think that a L today would be a damning indictment. Hopefully we pick up a D at worst, but I’m cautiously optimistic we could get our first W this season.
COYW!

Is this our best 11?
(Caveat: An in form Hwang gets in over Forbs)
I hope we see one of the mids stay back & Toti shift left to let RAN loose.
This is the battle of teams that start well & finish badly. Score could be anything, Home side had the advantage but a good performance for 90 mins & a reward for it will do wonders for the lads!

This is the one lads, hope we absolutely destroy them. So happy to see Forbs starting

I have been wondering when Forbes would get more time. The backline is still going to be an issue. Good attacking look though.
