The recent negativity surrounding Endo just shows how short term the memory of a lot of football fans is.
He was literally one of our best players once establishing himself in the team last season. In his first season. In a new club. In a new country. In his 30s. With everyone initially doubting his signing.
What a player. One of my favs, largely for all of the odds he has to constantly overcome.

Think Palace haven’t had a sniff on goal after he came on right? Help us win the ball in midfield and up the pitch with his tackles and relieves the pressure from our backline before the ball gets to them.
Before that Palace are just walking through our midfield with ease, when they were growing into the game in yhe 2nd half.
The highlight is of course, his handball that prevented their goal kick and forces then to take a throw in deep inside their own half instead 😂😂😂

Still early on but I do think this role of a closer is his way to Slot’s rotations. The gaffer calls him to do the ‘dirty things’ now.
