Last few season Jones was a player I thought would never be as good as this and would be a great squad player for us but now I think he can challenge Mac and Szob. Amazing how Slot improves players to a whole another level.

Another player who needs to string together an extended period of time without injuries, he’s a really great option and can cover all 3 positions in our midfield (which will be very necessary with the numbers of games we play).
Hopefully he can turn things around injury-wise.

I have no doubt that if mac got injured or if we plugged Curtis in ahead of Dom, he’d do a great job.

Good in the first half, but faded a bit in the second (like the whole team). Probably still not ready for 90 minutes.
He helps us keep the ball and works really hard.
I’m also not sure if any of his 4 fouls was actually a foul. Palace players were just falling down after every contact and Hooper played along. Meanwhile we didn’t a get a free kick at all it the first half.

I’m so dissapointed by how easily some Crystal Palace players fell and how confident the ref was to give these as fouls. Yes some of these fouls are justified by it just felt like Crystal Palace unlocked “fall on the ground” as an easy way of regaining possession.
