Assistant refs shouldn’t be deciding what colour card the ref gives, if the tackle is bad enough VAR will check. Absolute shambles

Seen it on the reply. So how couldn't the var change it. They said it there self no studs. Refs looking out for each other. And no apology

Liverpool fan here this is a disgrace . Var are clueless they sound so incompetent every time the audios are realeased . Foreign referees and scrap var is the logical solution but its never gonna happen unless fans band together
The VAR should be asking the on field officials what they think they saw and if the video doesn’t support that like this instance send the ref to monitor. Hardly rocket science
So they’re sorry. Doesn’t help United though does it having to play an entire half with 10 men. Not that we had been playing well with 11- we were woeful- but it completely killed the game off.
How can you say refs call when he was told it was 100% a red. WTF is going on
VAR absolutely need to do away with the "clear and obvious" error crap.
If it's an error, any error, then it should be corrected, whether it's a red, or a yellow, or a throw-in going the wrong direction. VAR is supposed to be there to get as many decisions correct as possible. That's the whole point of it!
And and if the guys in the VAR office are not doing their job correctly then they need to be fined, fired, or retrained.
The assistant needs removing. Spouting off, clearly didn't want bruno to stay on the pitch
1. Assistant ref using language like ‘100% a red card’ for such an important decision is problematic in itself. That’s the first sign of a referee group that is not set on doing right, but rather in acting quick.
2. Fact VAR has seen it, clearly communicated all the reasons why it probably shouldn’t be a red but then lead on ambiguity ‘does he rake’ to stick with on field decision is shambolic.
The refs have no clue in this league and it’s all well and good the VAR then admitting his mistake and Howard Webb clarifying, but the damage has been done. Also, bet the refs are still in a top game the following week even after this clear ineptitude.

Absolutely disgraceful, refereeing has never been this bad. They are ruining the game. Michael Oliver is the worst by far, definitely taking bribes off city
The ref is obviously not in charge on the field anymore. Var is God now even though they mess it up time and again.
Whatever happened to refs making a decision and sticking to it. Far too much outside influence and it is spoiling the game.
I'd rather watch a blood and thunder game on YouTube from the 70's 80''s and early to mid 90's than this dross we have now

Assistant refs shouldn’t speak unless requested by the ref or if they’ve missed something, not before the ref has made a decision or waved play on! Also the assistant has too much emotion in that call to the ref, and I don’t think anyone thought it was as bad as that assistant! He sounded like he had two footed him in the eye socket!!
