Competed well for most of it. Mistake for the first and just didn’t have the quality to create many chances

  2. Thought the women’s team played OK, stuck to a shape and game-plan to contain the Dutch team and executed it fairly well.
We tired toward the end, which happens when a team has less of the ball, but we threatened from set pieces and were within a bounce of a ball from equalising.

Ive not considered stats or in depth analysis but for me, Caitlyn Hayes looks comfortable defending at the European level, she is just so powerful, composed and shrugging off challenges.

Also Emma Lawton’s drive and determination (along with her facial expresions) remind me so much of Tony Ralston. Putting absolutely everything into it, no matter what.

Well done to them all. Making history, and they should be disappointed at the result but also very proud of their achievements.
