Don’t count Man City as a beatable team. So he’ll be in charge atleast 2 more games

  2. Agreed, 100%. Would gladly take either. Really like GON as a person and give him a ton of credit for taking the helm last season when most pundits and fans predicted us to go down, but I don’t rate him as a manager and think FOSUN is trying to own a EPL club on the cheap. Shame on them.

Moyes would be a good manager to steadily carry us forward for some time. He’s certainly helmed some good teams and some less-great teams, but always fairly consistent IMO. Potter is more of a swing for the fences type, as he’s overperformed and underperformed in more drastic ways… but that said I think he inherited SUCH a mess at Chelsea, and did SO well at Brighton, that you have to take the Chelsea experiment with a grain of salt.

Potter’d be my pick between the two, with the conceit that I would hope someone would ask him point-blank, “are you going to bail for greener pastures the moment you can? bc if so, we’d prefer someone else.” But if we can lock down 2+ years of Potter before he hopefully does **so** well that he moves along, that’s fine.

Can’t guarantee either will be there if we wait and don’t fire Gary until January. Then again, what do I know, maybe he really does turn things around in November…

  3. I think both are good candidates, but also guaranteed to be expensive, which means Fosun won’t consider either. They’ll probably hire someone with little experience again considering their recent history (Lage, Beale, GON). But let’s hope Gary shocks us all and turns this thing around.

not sure if we should take either of them at the moment. i think GON should be given his fair chance, even in extreme circumstances until the Brighton match. if he has to be replaced, i would take Conceição over Potter and Moyes.
