I think this was the game where Paul McGrath contained Shearer in the entire game…..and right at the end he slipped up once..and that was enough for Shearer to capitalise on.
As McGrath said afterwards “any other player I would have been fine…but you cannot even give Shearer one chance as he will score it, he’s that deadly”.

I think this away kit is nicer than the navy and burgundy strip they’ve remade/brought back about 10 times.
