  1. His journey at Arsenal may have had a bitter end but I’ll never forget the excitement of coming on the last day of transfer window.

    His first game away to Sunderland and he assisted Giroud for the first goal in the game.

    His assist to Welbeck ending up in a 2-1 win for us.

    His goal against Ludogorets.

    His 1st goal in the CL game at home against Napoli.

    And many more. He was world class on his day and we deserved more trophies with him.

  2. As amazing as Ozil was and the signing, seeing him in an Arsenal shirt just brings back bad memories of a fractured soft team.

  3. His signing broke our 8 year trophy drought. Was one of my favourite players at the 2010 Fifa World Cup and I was ecstatic when he joined the Arsenal. He still holds the record for most chances created in a single PL game (12) and most chances created in a single PL season (146). He was the main reason for us contending for the 2015/16 league title. Proud to have the Özil 11 jersey along with his autograph in my collection.

    Happy birthday to a former fan favourite 🎂 🎁🎉

    Truly a shame how his later years at the club turned out.

    Regardless, he still has some fond memories with Gunners fans.

  5. His face gives me PTSD, he picked the club over himself when he left, and he’s super far right in his personal life.

  6. Maybe the most gifted footballer at this club since Henry/Bergkamp. Shame about the politics

    Just imagine if we had the right striker and right team around him, he would have been a different beast, he was too magical, for me he’s the best creator in football, he could create chances from nothing. Damn I miss Prime Ozil

  8. I loved him as a player, that goal against Ludogorets is an all time favourite. However, the only good fascist is a [REDACTED] fascist.

    Always played at 50%. Had he played at 60, my god. Incredible player, one of the greats.

    That goal against Ghana was something else. Too sad he never really adapted after leaving Madrid.

  11. As a Kurdish person used to be a fan of his but not anymore ever since he came out supporting Grey Wolves

  12. One of the few players who had ability to make me want to watch games just to see what he was capable of. Even used to watch germany games just to get my ozil fix back in the day

  13. Might be petty but I can’t get past the fact he decided to kick us when we were down with that tweet about trusting the process.

    Ruined it all with the last couple of years of his career at Arsenal imo, subsequently trying to destabilise my club and destroy it from within. Verbally abusing Emery from the bench because he got hooked for another ineffective nothing performance is a memory of him I find hard to erase, among others. His friendship with Erdogan was the nail in the coffin. I don’t think people realise how selfish and self obsessed this guy was. Or maybe now he’s hit the steroids, things may have become a bit clearer
 The sad thing is, players that have done and will do more on the pitch for this club won’t get half of recognition and adulation.

  15. Y’know, Arsenal fans should Love Real Madrid. They’ve:

    * Never knocked us out or even scored against us in the UCL
    * Gave us Ozil
    * Gave us Odegaard
    * Ceballos on Loan
    * Never Barca’d us
