  1. Manchester United have decided to terminate the contract of a manager, but it’s not the current one.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s role as a paid ambassador for the club will come to an end this summer, and it’s a decision which has provoked a strong reaction, especially from some notable former players. Fans seem mixed, and our panel can certainly see both sides of the argument.

The women’s team head to Brighton, the former club of red-hot striker Elisabeth Terland, with a 100% win record so far this season while Ten Hag’s men face a tough test at Brentford. The first ninety seconds could be crucial in that one!

  2. SAF’s legacy is unfortunately a detriment to us right now. Serves as an intense amount of pressure while showing the world just how far the team has fallen.

Fergie built his teams on a complete lack of sentimentality,  so the amount of sentimentality that was shown to him by the Glazers never sat right with me to be honest.

  4. I do honestly wonder if this is a play at dragging media attention away from ETH and the team to give them a breather before Brentford.

82 year old Multi multi millionaire paid £2.1m a year for a role by his own admission he hasn’t been able to fulfill for the past 5 years because of his health. Mutually agrees to terminate the roll but remains on the board as a non exec with share capital. People seem to be losing their minds over nothing in my humble opinion.

Personally I don’t mind the Fergie thing it just feels like it’s yet another kick in the balls to any identity our club has and to our reputation.

I wish INEOS announced a wave of changes all at once around Fergie, the redundancies, Old Trafford closure etc… instead of drip feeding more and more news that our club is becoming soulless.

  7. He was either involved with the team the last ten years and doing terrible or he’s doing nothing and banking over 20 mil.

This is such an overblown story.

Everything sparks debate at this shit club. The fans, the club everyone is stuck in the past and have no grip on reality. Fergie is in his 80’s he doesn’t need to be an ambassador for the club anymore, the fact this is causing controversy shows how stuck we are to the past.
