[Chris Wheeler] Man United confident new CEO Omar Berrada and other staff recruited from Man City will not be implicated in 115 charges levelled against rivals.
It has raised concerns that United’s CEO and other ex-City staff could be dragged into a separate hearing that began last month to rule on allegations that City breached Premier League financial regulations.
There is no suggestion whatsoever of any wrongdoing by Berrada himself.
However, he was director of partnerships before becoming City’s chief football operations officer and sponsorship deals are central to the Premier League’s case.
