Terry you kinda spelled out exactly why brighton are asking for 100mil. Caicedo is a few years younger than Rice with a 4 years left on his contract. Rice only had 1 year left at west ham. makes sense to me especially if you think caicedo is the better player

I really don`t get why no one puts the blame on chelsea. While I totally agree that Caicedo isn`t worth a 100Million the question is:

I was hoping Edu would be working his Brazilian magic over the summer and pick out a number 9 for us from Brazil. We know he can do it but it seems we are going for Kudus who is a bloody good player don’t get me wrong but he’s more suited for CAM and the wings, he’s not an out n out striker. I still have a very bad feeling that we won’t necessarily lack goals, they will come but it just won’t be enough to get anywhere. I’ve said all summer we need a very good striker even one that’s still young and can be for the not so distant future, but could come in if needed.
I would prefer we keep Balogun until the january window because I'd rather not rely on Eddie alone as cover. if we sell another player (pepe, Holding etc) the kudus is the man we should bring in. Ajax play a very smilar style to Arsenal and look how well Timber blended into the side. JKudus, i am sure wiould bled is as easily, cover for saka and other midfielf areas.
You are absolutely right with Brighton and Chelsea. 90 mil is way too much for Caiecdo, especially for 1 season, however Brighhold all the cards. Some of us believed that paying 25mil for Sanchez would put us in favourable conditions with Brighton but that was never going to be the case.
