Even as a Leicester supporter, this make me worried for the long-term competitiveness (and therefore, appeal) of the championship. If it weren’t for Ipswich having an outrageous season, the gap between the three relegated teams and the rest of the pack would be huge. They are so far ahead in finances/ attracting quality when compared to the rest of the league. With TV rights ever increasing in the Premiership, I think this is a trend we are only going to see increase.
I have no idea what the answer is though.
Are there reasonable ways to combat this? I think PP will be sticking around.
