I’m pretty sure Scientologists have an easier time converting than Coventry

Can’t wait for Simms to get all the stick while O’Hare’s probably on the phone to his agent as we speak getting him to put some more fake transfer links in the papers again

  3. We’re pretty rubbish, injuries have caught up with us and Robins looks like he doesn’t know what to do.

Bristol City fans, how did you survive in this league with Dasilva at LB, he’s utter shite.

Simms found his level on Monday night.

Oh well, our season is over now. See you all again next year boys.

Absolutely massive win, to go through the 6 game run of Ipswich – Cardiff – Southampton – Plymouth – Hull – Coventry and maintain our 4 point play off gap (at minimum) is a huge feather in the cap for the side. Particularly given the injury issues the side has faced (4 points from Hull – Coventry without a striker).

It’d be absolutely crushing not to make the play offs having got ourselves in this position. 4 points clear with 7 of the top 9 played (Leicester and Preston away, both games which may be dead rubbers by the time we play them anyway).

  5. Create 17 chances.

    Only put 3 on target.

    🤷

The number of shots we put over the bar was unreal. We would have blown away WBA tonight if we were playing Rugby. We have injuries but so does everyone else. The squad is simply not good enough for top-six I fear this season. Maybe next.

I apologise to all Coventry fans for jinxing Ellis simms as I predicted him to finish top scorer in the division and he looked cack

Not arsed about the result, probably ends our playoff hopes but I never expected to make it this season anyway.

We’ve been poor for some time now, but the levels of performance we’ve been putting in the last few weeks have been shocking. No intensity, no pressure when the opposition is on the ball, just no fight from the players. I’ve no idea what’s going on, we haven’t always had the talent but the fight has always been there.

Oh well, now that it’s done we can focus on the cup.

  8. Huge result for us given the games this weekend.

Don’t think any of the teams Coventry and below will catch us now. So we only need to outrun two of Hull, Norwich and Preston.

    Johnston’s goal was excellent.

  9. Starting to Realise why Bristol City let DaSilva go for free.

League is too strong for a realistic promotion push this year, we go again next

Simms looked like he’d never touched a football before in his life.

One of the worst individual performances I’ve seen for a while.

Congratulations Leeds/Southaampton, whichever of you finishes 3rd, because there is zero chance West Brom or Ipswich are going up. I never thought I’d say this, but outside of the top 3 this years Championship could be even weaker than last years.

  12. I sometimes wonder why we never signed Ellis Simms. Then i remember Coventry have paid £8 million for him and he couldn’t hit the Great Wall Of China.

Well at least the 3 teams coming down from the prem are shit so next season should be easier

But fuck me losing to Preston and WBA in the space of 7 days to ruin the season is depressing

We are the opposite of Ipswich this season. We outplay teams but fail to win.

  15. I wasn’t expecting anything from this game I was maybe hoping for a draw at most. Simms has to do better I’ve loved him the past 4 games but tonight he was back to his usual self, and ohare hasn’t looked interested in a while annoyingly, he was dragging us up the table for a bit when he returned but it’s like he’s already left us the way he’s been playing.

    💩
