    Jack Leslie.

Scored 137 goals for Argyle and is our 4th highest scorer of all time.

He should have been the first black player to be capped for England. He was called up to the England squad in 1925 but was deselected because some people in the FA didn’t realise he was black. He was posthumously awarded an England cap when his statue outside Home Park was unveiled in 2022.

Coventry have a mural dedicated to Ricoh and Wasps on the outside of their stadium, classy touch 👏

  3. Bob Stokoe. Some Newcastle fan a couple of years ago thought it would be fun to have his mate film him pissing on the plinth. Completely oblivious to the fact that Stokoe was a Newcastle player for 14 years.

Hoping for a statue of Jermaine Defoe and Bradley one day.

  4. Jack Walker, for very obvious reasons. Legacy still stands today with the stadium and training facilities he developed so much alongside the premier league win.

  5. Wilf Mannion and George Hardwick at the ground and Brian Clough in Albert Park

Edit: and not a statue, but a brilliant tribute to one of our own, Ali Brownlee, gets a mural on the bridge. The “everyone round mine for a parmo” quote that makes many a Boro fan tear up. He did the live match reports on Radio Tees and it’s sorely missed, the voice of the Boro. Anecdotally, he was also my bank manager for a bit!

Always thought it was a bit strange that we have absolutely nobody.

Love seeing the big statues around the away grounds, Preston’s splash outside deepdale is my favourite.

Wouldn’t say it’s a bad one, but West Brom has a statue of “The 3 Degrees” which consisted of Laurie Cunningham, Cyrille Regis, and Brendon Batson.

Fun Fact: Cunningham was the first ever English player to join Real Madrid, straight from the Baggies.
