Jon Walters doesn’t look to have given up hope of being Stoke City’s next Technical Director.

  1. I’ll repeat below what I put on the sentinel page. Since honestly, I do feel this might be a step towards exorcizing whatever flipping curse has been on this club since 2018 (Seriously now, were our long throws THAT bad we deserved this? Do we need Arsene to publicly forgive us to lift this? …./s for anyone who didn’t realize)

His effort in a Stoke shirt was second to none, that’s why he became so beloved by us, because he always left 100% on the pitch, win, loss or draw. You always knew he had given his best whatever position he had played in, since some may now forget he was put on the wings despite that not being his place at all.

Given the only big thing we know he’s done (and I don’t doubt more has happened under wraps) is give a rallying call to the squad and spoke to them, which has then lead to our turnover to start moving away from the relegation spot, I say give him the role! He clearly is an influence.

Shame managing a squad isn’t what he set out to do, which his ethics if he had gone down that path, he’d be one of those who was a great man manager who would see his players press constantly and give all for the shirt, otherwise you’re out! This is the next best thing, Walters in!

Him and Schumacher know each other, and have both vouched for each other. That’s enough for me now, can’t blame our current manager since we’ve been a cursed club for years now. Let’s get Walters in at the top, work with our gaffer and see what happens!

Final note, I could be wrong, this could once again go all balls up, but I just would like to have a stable club please. I feel I’ve not enjoyed football since the summer before our first stint back here (I lived in Derby, we had an amazing squad on paper and we had pinched their boss, I gave it the big un’, and got karma back, didn’t help I bloody worked opposite Pride Park!!!)
