80s or 90s. I think the modern era kits are probably the worst. I really dislike just plain kits that are more like a fashion statement than something eye catching

80s and 90s. The 00s deteriorated severely and dramatically, got a bit better in the 10s and this decade

  3. 70’s and it’s not even close. I bet you could trace THE quintessential, classic kit of every team in this league to the 70’s. Also, peak for collars, and collars on football shirts are amazing.

60s/70s, the white band is what makes it a Boro top for me and we’ve abandoned it intermittently since then.

  5. In general, the 90s, although that might be influenced by my age. For Southampton kits in particular, I actually prefer the modern ones, the last ten years or so (with the exception of last years white kit)

  6. RIP Kevin Austin (bottom, middle, right) Cancer can get fucked. 00s with the right sponsor and style hits the spot

  7. 90s for me. Loved the baggy fits and the more out there designs. Might be nostalgic because I was born in the early 90s and grew up with it at the formative years.

    90s.

The problem with modern kits is they’re too lightweight and detailing is flimsy decals that disintegrate if you look at them funny.

90s kits still had proper collars and embroidered details.
