Hull City 3-3 Ipswich Town: it was a nervy performance from both teams, but two Hutchinson screamers make Ipswich level with Leeds with a game in hand

  1. Glad that one’s out of the way, our toughest of the run-in.

I’m still confident that we can get four points from the last two games.

Respect to all players on the pitch tonight, everyone gave it their all
maybe a tad disappointed with the result, but it’s still well in our own hands.

Excellent game of football that, both teams a bit sloppy at the back but a really good game to watch. Ipswich are good at football it seems.

I may be clutching at the biggest of straws. But that means Hull have to win against Plymouth, and Norwich have a far superior GD, so they’re safe in the play offs, and can field a weaker team against us. That’s something, right…right?

  5. Although I’m gutted we lost the lead 3 times, that was a cracking game of football from two teams really going for it. I still think we can manage 4 more points. Hope Davis is ok. Onto Tuesday!

If Sarmiento could finish he’d be fuckin dangerous. Blew two big chances at 3-2 and 3-3.

Wasn’t convinced by the Ipswich keeper either, poor decision to pass into Morsy for Hull’s first and obviously did the absolute worst thing possible in parrying a loose ball back into the danger area for Hull’s third.

  7. That Hutchinson performance is the best I’ve ever seen from an Ipswich player, Hulls left back will be having nightmares for weeks

  8. 4 points from Coventry and Huddersfield, very much doable. A loss would’ve been catastrophic so whilst it was a frustrating end to the game I’m not entirely depressed

Within the last week in the race for automatic promotion:

    Boro 3 – 4 Leeds

    Leicester 5 – 0 Southampton

    Qpr 4 – 0 Leeds

    Hull 3 – 3 Ipswich

    Never change championship

  10. Great game. Not an awful result, not a fantastic one either. Wishing Hull, West Brom, and Birmingham (genuinely sorry Argyle) all the very best.

Omari was marvellous tonight. Really hope Leif isn’t properly injured, that would massively impact the way we play. Regardless, I feel we really need to win the Cov game.

One of those rare instances watching a match where you think both teams deserve 3 points. It was a really cracking game. 2 teams playing great stuff.

Bit annoyed that we went ahead 3 times and were pegged back every time, particularly as 2 of the goals were massive individual errors. But Hull missed a few sitters so were good value for three goals.

Most pleasing aspect though is that’s the best we’ve played in ages so even though our winless run continues I’ve got great faith that we can win either or both of our final two

I really hope we can get Hutchinson back next season, he just gets better and better.

Great game of football but worst result possible for us.

Can’t see us getting anything against that Hull team and Norwich will likely rest players against Birmingham now.

    It’s been fun lads.

  13. Southampton, a bunch of folks driving around on tractors might feel a lot better if you do a big favor next week

I’ve never watched an interview with Rosenoir before. He actually comes across as a proper genuine, intelligent and proud bloke.

  15. I’ve stress-watched quite a lot of Ipswich games this season, obviously hoping they get beaten, and I hate to admit it but my god have most of those games been entertaining

  16. Don’t worry, Tractor Boys, we’re on the beach. 🏖️

    ……or are we? 🤷

    MUHAHAHAHAHA! 😈

  17. Cracking game that, credit to Ipswich

Probably won’t make playoffs now but oh well it’s been a great season

Fair play Ipswich, honestly thought we’d turn you over tonight.

The league table doesn’t lie at this stage of the season, hope your dreams come true.

  19. Funny how we all want our teams to get promoted but there isn’t a league in the world like the Championship. It’s fucking brilliant.

I was a teenager last time we were in the Prem, I’ve now just turned 40, surely it’s time! I know we didn’t win tonight but what a game, what a team
