Seems abit odd, “Good news we’ve found a guy and that guy is me” or they couldn’t find anybody and did the whole Thanos quote of “fine I guess I’ll do it myself”
And he’s been a revelation since to be fair
Nothing against Nourry who does seem to be getting a lot of things right so far fwiw. But there are tweets from as far back as Nov/Dec 2022 (when we were replacing Beale with Critchley, followed by Ainsworth) that suggested we were pursuing Martí then. So while Nourry may well have helped make it happen, and some fans won’t like this narrative, there is potentially some credit to Hoos and/or Sir Les on identifying him in the first place.
