The only one I know about is Luongo and I don’t think he can step up but good luck though. You will do well not to be 10+ points off the next best team as that division is brutal.
It will be interesting to see if you keep young and try to become a yoyo team for a few years or do what we did, splash the money and fail.

Never thought Leif Davis could be a PL full back this quickly from his time with us. Am very interested to see how he does in the PL, the quality of wingers in the PL is a massive step up.

I think Ipswich will do well in the Premier League and definitely stay up. If they have a season anything like this season I wouldn’t be surprised to see them nab a European place, which would cause a few heads to explode.
I can see it now. Man City are cruising to a 3-0 victory over Ipswich. Then in the 6 minutes of additional time Ipswich score three goals and get a 96th minute penalty to win 4-3. Pep has a meltdown on the touchline.

Oooh, I donât know about Chaplin. Might have to release him on a free to another blue championship club. Seriously, that is the biggest blunder (of his many) Iâve ever seen Kenny Jackett make is using him just as a super sub and then selling him to Coventry. That is some shrewd recruiting though, just one point less than Leicester in the end.

What is going to hurt us the most is we’ll still have the league 1 season counting towards our FFP so we’ll be extra fucked compared to those that went up last season.

Shoestring? Iâm happy for all Ipswich fans and wouldnât deny the amazing achievement theyâve accomplished under a brilliant manager but thatâs pretty disingenuous. Wages are what has driven the ÂŁ30 million loss theyâve made over the previous two seasons and like all clubs on this division, itâs financial roulette. The gamble paid off but letâs not pretend it was done on a shoestring budget.

i’d honestly love to see you guys stick in the top flight. i think a lower mid tier finish maybe a few spots above the relegation zone would be a fantastic outcome for ipswich (and for us as well, who am i kidding).
