  1. I honestly dont get this appointment at all. He only has 2 clubs he failed at Parama in his first season less than 30% win rate. He has had one season at Leicester City who had the best players, highest wage in the league. They were expected to win but still hats off to him winning the league. He did an amazing job.

I dont get how Chelsea based on 1 season in the championship have picked him up. Another PL club like an everton or a west ham, brighton taking a gamble on him sure. Chelsea you still think looking for a top 6 is that the best they can manage.

The only aspect I can think of is they have gone through so many top managers and sacked them they dont have many left to choose from.

  2. He has the “was Pep’s assistant” going for him which apparently carries a lot of weight

Anyone else want to slap this Romano fella in the face for the constant “here we go”?

  4. Good luck to him. His ego should work perfectly there. Stubborn tactics. Bitter with the fans. Gone by January

Clubs nowadays just go for people who have worked with pep over managers who have actual experience.

Take kompany for example, or xavi getting the barca job no experience bit worked with pep so get the job

Absolutely cracking work from his agent to get a five year deal. With that lot it’s likely he’s sacked in three months.

Poor West Brom. They were just staying in their lane minding their own business and now they’re probably going to lose their coach because of Chelsea’s last coaching carousel.

I feel like the current manager moved which have shocked everybody is a product of the “if in doubt sack the manager” situation, to a point where any high level coach feels stale so they have to go outside the box

Wow a 5 year deal… wonder how much it’ll cost them to sack him in about a years time

5 year contract… very Chelsea for them to offer 5 years, and probably end up paying off 3 of them.

Good job Leeds went to shit or this guy would be delivering pizza instead of taking the Chelsea job.

    Football is just beyond now.

  12. Chelsea are an absolute basket case club. He’s gonna be quids in when they fire him at Xmas.

  13. Congrats Leicester fans, you got rid of him and get money for it. A win win.

North Battersea continue to be a comedy club.

Hopefully this encourages more managers to lose at home to QPR. Kompany did it and has the Bayern job, Maresca did it and has the Chelsea job.

    Mark Robins to Man United??
