When he announced his appointment to the orange and black structure ,I really got excited because I think that he played happy football ,or are these words completely off the post for this forum or incorrect in total if at all ?

I’m happy to be proven wrong but this really isn’t an appointment that gets me excited for next season. His CV is really unconvincing to me.

Exciting appointment. Seems to tick all the boxes of a modern coach – high intensity, high press, 4-3-3, likes to have a ball playing keeper and all that.
Although, at this point everyone will get a new manager/coach before Sunderland do.

I’ve no idea what to expect but all the HSV fans on twitter seem to love him.
Here’s to having both the highest goals for and against in the league I suppose

As someone who watched a lot of HSV games during his tenure, I can assure Hull fans that they’re in for a wild ride. His desire to have his teams start attacks by building possession from the back, deploying the keeper as an auxiliary CB often led to brilliant passing moves but also left HSV susceptible to the occasional defensive howler. Defenders were often encouraged to join the attack and HSV were the highest scoring team in the division in his last full season (22/23) but it did often leave them vulnerable in transition – get ready for some high scoring matches! Curious to see how his style translates to the Championship

Must be nice appointing a new head coach

Hope it was worth getting rid of Rosenior (probably wasn’t), glad it didn’t take too long as I was getting worried that Hull City wouldn’t be able to find a suitable manager and be forced to pick from the scraps.

Seems to like attacking football, got decent experience in Germany and willing to go more direct than Rosenior, I’m happy with that

>sees the comment section that this guy likes ball playing keepers
Didn’t Acun say that he dislike passing on the back because they are boring to watch and also dunk on Allsop as well? Regardless, seems like an interesting appointment and hopefully this guy didnt get sacked. Acun is a pretty insane owner but it is to be expected considering he is also a host of certain reality shows especially the likes of Survivor.

Here’s a couple of articles for those interested. They’re covering his time at Stuttgart and his latest job at HSV.
