As you may have seen, Watford have listed 10% of the club up for sale for fans or any other interested parties, what’s everyone think?

Seems particularly pricey but I think it’s the going rate for a championship club, I would love to own shares in a football club even if it’s outside of my own support.

Though correct me if I’m wrong it probably wouldn’t be advantageous for me to drop £100 in small amount of shares in this club

  2. For context on the price, Southampton had an 80% share sold a couple of years ago to Sport Republic for £120m… granted we were on the cheap side as the owner wanted rid ASAP but for a Championship side that hasn’t exactly looked like going up recently that’s punchy to me

  3. I dunno what their fan base is like but selling ~1.4mill shares sounds like a tough target for a mid table championship club. Seems a tad expensive too.

  4. We are so fucking broke, this is absolutely a bad investment too given the price is horribly overinflated. Fortunately for gino I am a dumbass so will be buying some anyways

They could probably raise 25% by stop sacking managers every 4 months and having to pay out.

  6. Brentford fc are valued at £400m.

We are likely to be a championship club in the future.

Absolutely reeks of desperation, no fan in their right mind should be investing in this, we all know barely any of that money will go into the squad, it’ll be the usual Mogi Bayat signings and Udinese cast-offs.

Sooner these jokers are out of the club the better.

Some West Brom fans already own 12% of the club and have done for a significant time. I’m 100% sure that there will be many other clubs in the country with partial fan ownership so the “One of the first…” line reeks of desperation

It’s a begging bowl from an ownership that has run out of ideas but clings on desperately with a wild hope we might get promoted despite all the available evidence.

  10. I wonder what we did with the crypto the club were paid in sponsorship from a couple seasons ago. I really hope it wasnt spent on NFT’s.

Id rather we lost the crypto money on a horse, not gambling, Gino was riding a horse and the USB stick with the crypto wallet fell out his pocket.

I think it should be a legal requirement for football clubs to be 25% owned by fans.

  12. Sounds and feels over priced but let’s face it, if this was an opportunity at your club you would probably invest!

Argyle are dead set against doing something like this because apparently the costs and complications of doing so wouldn’t we worthwhile. Think it’s a mistake myself as we’re holding on by our teeth.
