München has everything 💀😭
For most stadiums I think they choose due to not the capacity of it but becuz of the infrastructure around the stadium which is important
During euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine the second largest stadium in Poland – Silesian Stadium with over 50 000 seats did not host any game. Instead of modernazing one of the most iconic stadiums in the country authorities decided to built 4 new stadiums in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Poznan and Gdansk. Silesian Stadium although it has running tracks wasn't choosen due to politician decisions. Also Silesian Stadium is located in Chorzów – a city with a 100 000 inhabitants and only authorities of Chorzów aplicated for hosting matches during euro 2012. Authorities of neighbouring cities like Katowice, Zabrze, Sosnowiec, Gliwice or Bytom didn't help authorities of Chorzów although mentioned cities and over 20 cities and boroughs forms Silesian Urban Area with population over 2 300 000 people
Is Munich worth visiting for a few days in September? Running through city options… Munich and Hamburg are my German options on my list.
Surprised that Hannover wasn't chosen considering that it hosted the 2006 World Cup. Can anyone explain why it wasn't chosen?
