Congratulations to all the Australian fans, and those who interrupted Miedema’s farewell speech. Outstanding support!

This is what I’ve been saying, that we didn’t really know what was going on behind the scenes. Everyone was quick to blame the club and Jonas as if they blindsided her and kicked her out, when in reality the decision was mutual and she was actually looking to leave.

Well there we go. It’s perfectly acceptable for good things to end and players to move on from a club when the time comes. Not everything needs to be dramatic, this isn’t a reality show and I think some fans need to accept that.

Should have left two years ago when Barca came for her. Now going to Man City.

The fallout was so bad I had to keep off Twitter for two weeks. Can’t imagine what the staff and members felt when they had seen the backlash. I’m going to be honest and say that the indirect IG stories and Twitter likes from former players and media didn’t help at all (including Beth’s like). Truthfully, it put a sour taste in my mouth that it transpired like that because it encouraged the backlash. I’m just happy this will be put to rest and it came from Viv herself.
I wish her all the best except when she’s against us. As for the club — I hope things get sorted out!

Nowhere did she say that this wasn’t bc of Jonas?? Entirely possible that she is being polite/professional but the real reason is still actually Jonas??

I saw comments comparing Jonas with the ex spain coach and RFEF head who were involved in the s*xual assault scandal. That’s how bad it was. Plus the comments degrading Swedes and the swedish players who are in the team. No one batted an eye at these.

I hope this finally stops the Jonas witch hunt (doubt it)
