[Fabrizio Romano] Chelsea aims to enhance their team by adding a new striker and a right-footed winger. The club’s urgency in signing another striker depends on Nkunku’s preseason performance as a striker; a strong showing may reduce the need for additional signings.

  1. – Samu Omorodion:

    – **Interest and Initial Bid**:Chelsea submitted an official bid for Omorodion. However, this bid was promptly rejected by Atletico Madrid, who have made it clear that they are not interested in selling the player at this time.

    – **Chelsea’s Strategy**: Despite the initial rejection, Chelsea has not given up on their pursuit. They are maintaining active communication with individuals close to Omorodion, ready to reignite negotiations if Atletico Madrid changes their stance later in the transfer window. This strategic patience reflects Chelsea’s belief in Omorodion’s potential and their hope that a deal might become feasible as the market evolves.

    – **Player’s Current Status**: Omorodion is currently happy at Atletico Madrid, which adds another layer of complexity to any potential transfer. However, Chelsea remains vigilant, understanding that the dynamics of the transfer market can shift rapidly.

I hope this is Romano waffle being held up by saying “may”. Our plan for the season for the most important role in the squad should not be decided by pre-season performances of someone playing out of position. There is always so much space and time to play in during pre-season, it doesn’t give an accurate appraisal of a position like that

  3. Waiting for some names on wingers tbh, we’ve heard Summerville in like May and not heard of him since, Nico Williams ain’t happening I really wonder who they are targeting
