  1. >In May, Klopp outlined his plans for his future in management, with some believing him to be stating that he’d prefer a job in international management. He told the Willipedia podcast: “It’s out of the question that I’ll stop working altogether. But I don’t see myself continuing at the same pace as before at the moment.”

International football certainly seems it would suit Klopp better, and USA fans are keen for the signing!

He can coach any country he wants at the next World Cup .
It’s probably not going to be the US

Is the backup plan pulljng SAF out of retirement? Maybe find a Time Machine and get Cruyff?

  4. I feel like this would be a poison chalice for the USMNT, obviously they have some bs going on behind the scenes because stuff like berhalter being fired and rehired doesn’t happen without it, Klopp would have no problem making the entire association look like fools if he sensed they weren’t up to scratch.

I told my coworkers yesterday that I will run naked through the store if the USNMT signs Klopp.

Honestly, I think it can be the perfect job for Klopp at the moment and I won’t be surprised if he accepts it.

For starters, they’re gonna pay him a looot of money. After spending a life time with the German and English weathers, it’ll be refreshing to live in LA or Miami.

Not a lot of workload, very limited pressure comparing to what he’s used to in Europe.

So basically he will take that peace of mind he’s been looking for. He’ll just get paid for it while doing that. Also keep his career active in case he wants club management again in the future.

Football fans: If they’re so good at managing, why do they always manage Big teams with nice budgets, why don’t they make a bad team good?

Also football fans: Why would he want to manage a shit team?

Jurgen Klopp is one of the best managers in the world, at the top of his game, with a track record of winning major trophies.

USMNT are a second division national team without a hope of winning anything anytime soon.

    No.

Seems like a terrible idea. He’s such a big name that they’d raise fan expectations to impossible levels. They need to work on having a lot more great players, not think that a great coach can massively improve their team.

Someone said it would be a bad idea bc Klopp is very public about his political beliefs & the people in charge & supporters wouldn’t like him. Which I thought was interesting. If he does ever manage at the international level it’ll probably be in Europe.

I don’t see what the big deal is, why shouldn’t they ask? Worst he can say is “no, and don’t contact me for this position again” and then they’re back to searching for lower-tier managers.

There’s always that small percentage chance that the prospect of building a team like America is intriguing enough for him to consider the position. And if he fails, no one is gonna blame him for it because the US federation is a joke and the talent pool is not that great lol

I mean he’s not gonna say yes but everyone’s acting like the US wanting the best manager available is stupid

    Lol Americans…

‘Gets serious’ by contacting a coach who they have absolutely zero chance of convincing to work with them!

  14. They called us crazy when we tried to defeat the British and we did.

They called us crazy when we did some other things probably and we did.

They called us crazy when we tried to land on the moon and we did.

They called us crazy when we tried to hire Klopp and we will see.

But seriously Klopp should do it and win the World Cup so Pep follows and leaves club football.
