Only time I got refused from a ground was Oxford back in 80’s Keith Houchen went off. Turns he had pleurisy and played most of the game and moaned about being subbed!
Got in by talking to a copper who actually thought the demonisation of footie fans was wrong…in Thatcher’s Britain!
Ah great days 😉 minibus that was falling apart, no colours, drinking in the bus and having to run the “can I be arsed’ coppers.
