Eh this is too soon, he still owes us two more happy endings apparently

He’s signed 1 upgrade for the season in Solanke. Whilst I won’t deny Gray, Odobert and Yang are exciting young talents who can play a part this season, the starting XI from last season remains relatively unchanged and we finished 5th with no Europe and just 3 Cup games.
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, this post would be better suited should we improve on our problematic positions in DM and the wings.
I’d rate the current transfer window in two ways.
For the season ahead: 5/10 – Gray and Odobert may play a good role this season, Solanke could be important.
For the future: 9/10 – 3 young exciting signings for the future join previous signings Bergvall, Van De Ven, Dragusin, Udogie, Sarr in an exciting looking future in a few seasons time.

Huh? Not apologising for shit. We left the transfers too late, with only one of three signed players taking part in the pre-season games. Also lost out on Neto who clearly was a primary target. We also need more signings, Solanke and two youngsters simply isn’t enough if you lot are serious about trophies and CL. Also we won’t be able to judge the window until we see what happens with Gray especially, but also Oderbert. We took a gamble and spent big on two unproven youngsters, if they tank then this could turn out to be our worst transfer window since 2020.
Outgoings has been really good, but most of the skepticism regarding Lange and McKenzie ist still warranted.

He’s done a really good job moving on our deadwood. Better than any recent DOF/recruitment guy. But it still remains to be seen if his incoming transfers will work out.
We’ve only really immediately filled in a need in one position: striker. I like Odobert and Gray but those two will play in positions where we need clear upgrades, let’s hope Lange’s data/scouting is solid.

Where’s “got too used to The Don making approaches for 7 players at once for one position”

Season hasn’t even kicked off and we’re hailing the transfer window a success? Interesting.

We literally haven’t played a single game this season.
