  1. I will miss Mark, think he’s got the tools to be a top player. But we’ve got a good fee and a replacement so I’m happy.

Gutted to see him gone. He always gave 100%. However we couldn’t really turn down the fee that was being talked about.

Very glad to have what sounds like a top quality centre half. Really needed depth there, especially after all the injuries. Looking forward to seeing him play soon, hopefully alongside Krauß…

Cardiff fans should be aware that the £10 million rumours were clearly utter bollocks though, because any more than £5 million up front and it would have been announced as our record fee. Sure there are significant add ons, but clearly the “in the know” were overexaggerating a bit

  4. Genuinely gutted he’s gone, especially after signing a contract last season. One of my favourite players down the club in a long long time, but this is a cutthroat game and he’s allowed us to buy Daland and potentially Will Fish as centre half replacements.

He’ll be a fan favourite for Luton in no time and he’s got the potential to go far – easily could be a good Prem starting calibre centre half.

However, when the money’s good the money’s good, but it would sting less if he’d gone to an established Prem club instead of a sidegrade/slight upgrade in Luton.

A leader in most games (he like a lot of ours stinks out the derby though) strong, brave, and is reasonably good on the ball, will go from strength to strength if you can find him a partner at the back. No bad feelings Macca, enjoy the hats.

Solid defender, dominant aerially, seems like a decent leader, pretty sloppy on the ball and has a few mistakes in him though.

No bad blood on our end, I’m happy with that business, hope he bosses it there.

I think anything over £5 million for what would have been our third choice centre back last season is great.

He’s really good at set pieces, both defensively and offensively, will get a few goals.

Finding some of the takes wild here. I liked Macca, think hes a superb defensive centre half, superb in the tackle, great in the air, strong, aggressive, pretty quick.

But he has a howler in him regularly because of his positioning on the the counter and his lack of awareness on picking up extra runners, sometimes lets forwards jog past him for a tap in.

He’s also very limited on the ball and doesn’t suit our new system Bulut is seemingly moving towards.

10m is a phenomenal fee, can’t believe he’s gone for that much.
