It always feels disrespectful to buy someone for 60M, then afterwards go tell another player you cant afford him and he has to leave.
Just an odd way of operating.

I’m genuinely so sad he had to go. I’m glad he’s making it clear it was because of the financial situation.

Man, feels bad for him
Gave his everything, was our best last season, and willingly left to help the club
Thank you Gundo, and good luck!♥️💙

I’m glad he is gone.. the way he kept talking shit about his teammates in the public or to the opposition is just not cool..

absolutely pathetic what the club’s done with Gündogan.

I hope his disappointment in the few people who lead this club doesn’t translate in a general disliking towards the club 🙁 I’m grateful for his time here and hope that he will remember this club for the good moments he had here :/

Absolute and total gentleman. Only respect for Gundo.
I’m so fed up of seeing such class players leave through the backdoor or in shit circumstances. So many phenomenal players deserved better than the way they left. I’d love to see Gundo back at some point but it’s obviously too late for him.

Bro mudded Laporta and I absolutely love it.

World class player that had actual ambitions here. Sad to see our club push him out just so we can register a injury prone player we never even needed. Meme club.

Can we receive this kinda letter from Deco?
I even wished him to be our next captain.

Nice message to the fans. Best of luck to him. Its a good move for Gundo, Citeh and Barca. Really looking forward to seeing how we play this season with Flick + Olmo… plus Fermin back. Should be fun to watch

Yeah he got fucked over. Great player, had a very good season at Barca. Should have saved the dani olmo money to pay him. This club is a mess and this is proof #1. Respect to him and good luck. Barca failed you.

Bought olmo for some reason.
Still have Torres freeloading.
Still have more than half a dozen deadwoods on the squad just existing.
And the first person they decided to part ways with was our best player from the last season, who was available whole season without a single injury, gave his all and probably the only person on the squad who has a semblance of winning mentality.
Deco has uploaded more pictures of him talking on the phone than the number of decent deals he has made, from Alemany to this guy is probably one of the greatest downgrades of all time.
I’m so so done with the management of this club.

Selling Gundogan and still unable to register Olmo is absolutely horrendous business from Laporta and Deco.

No respect for him. Publicly criticizing his teammates to a Real Madrid rival player? That’s unforgivable and I’m not even being emotional. You can’t convince me that Barca aren’t letting him go because of his demeanor and superiority complex.

We can’t have our cake and eat it.
We can’t get a more sensible wage structure without letting big players go. We can’t keep everyone and also bring in fresh new signings.
Gundo had a very professional but underwhelming season. He was a Xavi-type signing because he reminded Xavi of himself. Barcelona’s midfield is already loaded with talent, and the problem last year was conceding too many goals (Gundo is a goal scoring midfielder, his strength is not in defense).
This move frees up 18 million of wages and is a smart deal. All parties came out on top, with Gundo returning to a big club he knows at 33yo.
Seems like a win-win to me and fans should be happy with this operation.
