Itâs got to be Grealish. Controversial maybe, but he sold for a British record at the time, 100m player that comes around once in a generation. Grealish on his day, was unplayable, very few players can match up to his absolute best.
Underrated really has to be re-done. Konsa makes no sense.
Firstly everyone rates him at the club.
He plays all the time.
Secondly he’s in the England team.
He’s almost by definition not underrated.

TBH I was too young to watch him play much but I’ll throw this one in there. I’m sure there were better players in the squad but as a kid I thought GARY SHAW was the coolest of them all.
Definitely should be a fan favourite section.

Stand poor? No, he Sits Well. Sidwell… Maybe that doesn’t quite work, either way the best player in Villa history is clearly Steve Sidwell. According to FBref, Steve scored an astonishing 53 goals over the course of his career which I can pretty much guarantee is 53 more professional goals than you’ve ever scored. Plus, I would be derelict of duty if I didn’t mention the time his heads up thinking got us an important goal while not even being on the pitch.
