"They are all available [Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez]. They are good."

Ten Hag on Shaw's progress

"He's progressing but not yet ready to be selected. He is progressing well, of course we have a plan in our head when he can be ready but you're always dependent on how the progress will go and you can't think, you can't make a suggestion because there are so many factors, a plan can accelerate or slow down."

Ten Hag on the importance of winning trophies

"It's about winning trophies but I don't talk only about this, you guys are talking about we have to win, to win leagues, we are in five leagues and we want to win them, so no doubt we are aiming for a trophy and we take it seriously."

"Ugarte you will see tomorrow what the selection will be for this game."

Ten Hag on the prospect of rotation

I have many players available and we can make a selection from game to game, definitely we have to rotate because we have to cover so many games. It's not only about the starting XI. A nice headache."

"Tomorrow you will see what the line-up will be. We have training every day and the players have to earn the right, when the attitude is good and show performance in training then they will play."

  1. Brilliant news, I think we should be starting a back 4 of Amass, Evans, Maguire, Dalot With Ugarte, Casemiro and Collyer as midfield. Change most of the team.

  2. Good news, now please leave them at home. We should be able to afford plenty of rotation tomorrow.

  3. IndicationNo328 on

I saw evidence of Ten Hag learning from last season’s experience in the S’ton game. He took off Martinez even when it looked like Martinez was insisting on continuing.

I hope he has also learnt the importance of squad rotation since last season. In this carabao cup game against Barnsley, it would be absolutely criminal if the likes of Mainoo, Mazraoui, De Ligt etc are starting. Most of the team should be rotated, giving others much needed minutes and keeping the starting 11 fresh for the weekend game. I would have serious doubts about the suitability of ten hag long term if I see him starting the same 11 tomorrow.

  4. Responsible-Try-5228 on

If Mazraoui plays after all the injury concerns, ETH shouldn’t be allowed next to Shaw until we’ve given him a robotic lower half.

  5. Responsible-Try-5228 on

It’ll take a few more months of “just a knock, he’ll play” to overcome the feeling of dread anytime one of our players goes down tbh

  6. Professional-Neat432 on

Given the injury record of Mazouri, Licha, and De Ligt they are not worth risking. Back 4 of Dalot, Maguire, Evans, and Amass is more than capable. I would rest Mainoo for sure, too.

  7. Previous_End3239 on

What is the latest with Hojlund? He’s been training with the team right? I hope he makes Palace but they probably don’t want to rush him back too quickly.

  8. My God, I’m keep refreshing since Sat to check if there is any bad injury news. Thanks God for this.I can’t take the curse we had last year again 😭
