Unfortunately, people have been criticizing Inzaghi’s substitutions without logic.

Yesterday, Inzaghi went wrong with the rotation but he certainly wasn’t wrong with the substitutions, even the Correa and Arnautovic sub-ins.

Thuram and Lautaro were absolutely dead physically and out of the game mentally. Our attack did not liven up till the entry of Taremi, Arnautovic, and Correa and we finally scored the goal. The attack livened up and especially Correa who I felt did his job.

I wish critics could be more analytical.

  1. Tbf if this did start correa getting his form back it would l’ve added another formidable player to our roster. It was a risk free throw of the dice which didn’t work out.

Arnautovic was formidable. Only clinical Passes.ä including a majestic back heell volley

the way i see it we were absolutely dominating till
he started with the subs. The best chance we had of winning was just keep playing as we were until the end.
Instead with 30 minutes left on the clock it became a frenzied game with little tactics and a lot of mess. And we got scored.

I really didnt get the aslani sub, it wasnt a good game for him but without a regista we lost the plot, if he wanted to take him out he should have sent chala in.

Regardless, we were considerably better before the subs.

In retrospect I feel like it would have been better to make a substittution such as Bastoni/Acerbi for Dimarco and move Carlos Augusto to the wingback and to not put int one among Tharemi, Correa and Arnautovic, leaving Asllani on the pitch.
