  1. Isn’t it then up to the clubs to recognise when players are worn out, and rotate them out the team for another squad player? For the amount of money they get, it seems pretty funny to moan about this,

  2. Man United players have been on strike for years. It’s about time other clubs unite and do the same.

  3. Contracts with game limits feels closer than ever, and if not that, with a significant bonus premium after a certain number of games

The amount of games is ridiculous… but they equally need to be in the shoes of the average fan having to pay for the increase in Season Tickets / Merchandise each year – Football is stupid as a whole.

    Entire bubble just needs bursting.

  5. Oh no. The best players on the best teams in the country not playing every game in the cups? How will we survive when the thing we’ve been asking for for years happens? The horror

How is playing two games a week even that difficult, these players are Fannie’s man. You get to retire with millions in the bank before 40 get a fucking grip

Maybe talk to your own managers who hoard some of the worlds best and don’t rotate

  7. With how much player’s salaries have gone up every year without more games (up until recently), cry me a river. Take a pay cut for less games then

  8. Wish the players would speak out the same way against the extortionate prices fans pay to watch them play. Millions of people would happily take the workload if they were being paid millions to do it.

  9. bros receiving +3M a year and going on strike because “buh buh workload”

bro u dont even work 40H per weeks

    fuck off

ask ur manager to rotate, u have +24 players on team a, plus +24 on team b and +100 in another academys

  10. Rather than going on strike they should ask their managers to use the whole squad and not just the same 14-15 guys.

Oh and they should stop pulling a fart face and create some drama when their managers decide to bench them to play someone who is more fresh.

This is going to be somewhat entertaining since the Oil Money has flooded the market. I wonder how they’ll launder their money if there’s no sports to wash it in.

  12. There’s no union though right? How would this work in actual practice without a collective bargaining agreement and between leagues?

  13. Imagine getting payed as much as they do and then threatening to strike…. yes the scheduling is fucked and they are risking injuries etc but for the amount they get payed they don’t really have a right to complain
